I’m a 28-year radio veteran and a connoisseur of gospel music. My intro to the gospel genre was as little girl hiding in my grandma’s bedroom and listening to her old 78-inch recordings. They were boxed and put away to keep them from being broken. These are the recordings that predated downloads, cds, cassettes and albums. Back then the plastic that the recordings were made from was so fragile, it seemed if you blew on them too hard, they would break and many of them I did! Lol! That nosey little girl found jewels like The Soul Stirrers, The Mighty Clouds, Mahalia Jackson, The Clara Ward Singers, etc., and my life was changed forever. The ones that I didn’t break (lol), I would listen to for countless hours.

Away from the airwaves, I enjoy family and cooking! See on and off the airwaves, my culinary skills are always being honed. I’m a Deacon at the United Christian Church – Disciples of Christ and lend my time to many community service events with my Sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. I absolutely love my Praise 96.5 family, as well as being a servant of the airwaves. Join me middays Inside The Gospel Café!
