Montgomery, AL Warming Center Opens During Overnight Hours Tonight, Monday, February 23, 2026.

 

MONTGOMERY, AL – In accordance with the City of Montgomery and the Emergency Management Agency’s cold weather plan (i.e., to provide a warming center when temperatures are forecast to be below 32 degrees for 4 hours or more), the City of Montgomery will activate it’s Warming Center, located at The Crump Center (1751 Cong W L Dickinson Drive) tonight, Monday, February 23, 2026, starting at 7pm and will close tomorrow, morning by 7am.  Residents in need of shelter are welcome during these times. No pets are allowed inside the warming center.

 

The City of Montgomery works with the M Transit System for bus service along Route 8 (Gunter Park/East Dale Mall) and will post the schedule at the Warming Center and on the Montgomery City/County Emergency Management Agency’s Facebook page. M Transit will provide complimentary rides to the warming center between 4:00pm and 8:30pm Monday evening and from the warming center from 5:45am to 7:15am Tuesday morning.
