Montgomery Fire/Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Duncan Drive

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Feb. 23, 2026—Montgomery Fire/Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Duncan Drive early Monday morning, successfully containing the blaze with no reported injuries.

At approximately 1:59 a.m., Engine 10, Engine 7, Truck 41, Rescue 91, and Car 31 were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, crews observed heavy smoke emanating from the single-story residence and declared a working structure fire.

Firefighters initiated an offensive attack, effectively confining the fire to its area of origin. Both primary and secondary searches of the residence confirmed that no occupants were inside at the time of the incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Montgomery Fire/Rescue Bureau of Investigations.
