THE WELLNESS COALITION’S FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIRS RETURN TO
MONTGOMERY, MACON, LOWNDES COUNTIES IN APRIL, MAY, JUNE
“A Tour of Wellness” events will feature local organizations and vendors with free refreshments,

health and wellness services, and activities for the entire family.

Montgomery, Ala. – The Wellness Coalition is hosting its fourth annual A Tour of Wellness
community health fair series in Montgomery, Letohatchee, and Shorter over three weekends in
late April, early May, and early June. The events are free and will feature local organizations,
vendors, and activities, all focusing on increasing access to health and wellness services.
“We’re looking forward to bringing A Tour of Wellness back to the River Region for its fourth
consecutive year,” says Belkys Gomez, The Wellness Coalition’s program coordinator.
“Attendees will enjoy free health services and information, live entertainment, and family-friendly
activities while learning about and connecting with numerous health resources.”
For the first time, The Wellness Coalition is partnering with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority–Alpha Rho
Zeta Chapter to sponsor A Tour of Wellness Montgomery event. A steadfast pillar in the River
Region since 1941, the sorority is dedicated to promoting its founding principles of Sisterhood,
Scholarship, Service, and Finer Womanhood through organizational programs, volunteer efforts,
and advocacy.
“We are committed to serving and expanding our impact within the community,” explains Latolya
Morton, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority–Alpha Rho Zeta Chapter’s 2 nd vice president. “The Wellness
Coalition offers a range of valuable services and resources that align with our core principle of
Service, particularly in promoting a lifestyle focused on health and wellness. Our collaborations
with organizations such as The Wellness Coalition’s Tour of Wellness Montgomery enable us to
educate the community on available resources and uphold the mantra of our international
headquarters, the Power of S.H.E: Social Justice, Health Justice, and Economic Justice.”

Montgomery County A Tour of Wellness Event, in partnership with Zeta Phi Beta

Lowndes County A Tour of Wellness Event:
WHEN: Saturday, May 3, 2025, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: The Calhoun School, 8213 Co Rd 33, Letohatchee, AL 36047
Macon County A Tour of Wellness Event:
WHEN: Saturday, June 7, 2025, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Town Hall Front Lawn, 16675 Hwy 80, Shorter, AL 36075
Attendees at each event will be able to connect with local agencies and vendors about
free programs and services, including:
