Weekend Weather Forecast from Montgomery County EMA

An Arctic air mass will move into Central Alabama Sunday night. Temperatures by Monday morning will drop as low as 11-19 degrees across the area, with dangerous wind chills in the single digits to near zero. Similar conditions are expected Tuesday morning.

Precipitation chances Tuesday through Wednesday morning are in the 20 to 40 percent range across Central Alabama. While it does now appear that precipitation chances are increasing across the southern half of Alabama, the northward extent of the precipitation remains uncertain at this time. With very cold temperatures already in place, wintry precipitation will be likely. It is too early to determine any accumulations or impacts for Central Alabama, but we will continue to monitor the system given the cold air in place.
