The Montgomery County Commission and Vice Chair, Commissioner Carmen Moore-Zeigler, District 2 welcomed guests Friday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating recent improvements at Elton N. Dean, Sr. Park, including the new ADA accessible fishing pier and walking path. The project was primarily funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant, covering 80% of the total cost, with the remaining 20% match coming from the County Commission.
Key Improvements
- Connected both park pavilions by extending the sidewalk around the back of pond
- Provided sidewalk access to the new fishing pier from the east side
- Extends entrance sidewalk, so visitors can reach the pavilions without having to walk through the grass
This event highlights Montgomery County’s continued investment in enhancing recreational opportunities and quality of life for residents. Following the ceremony, a complimentary lunch will be provided for attendees.
